What is FireComposer?
A standalone music application for Windows, designed around Akai Fire. It combines sample sequencing, note-loop recording, pitched step editing and sample performance in one workspace.
Does it run on the controller itself?
No. FireComposer runs on your Windows computer. The Fire controls it over USB MIDI. The on-screen Fire view mirrors its pad layout and feedback.
Can I use my own samples?
Yes. Import WAV, FLAC or MP3 files, browse sound categories, or drag a sample onto a compatible pad. The native library includes 328 samples organized in their original 808, 909, BASS, CHORD, FX, KEY and VOCAL folders.
One Shot, Toggle or Loop?
One Shot plays once. Toggle lets you start a sample with a press and stop it with another. Loop repeats until stopped. PERFORM includes these options and launch quantization.
Can I save sessions and grow beyond one grid?
Yes. Save and name sessions and patterns. STEP and DRUM support additional banks and horizontal and vertical navigation, expansion and zoom in DAW view. Keep external samples with the project when moving it.
Which languages are available?
English, Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese, in the application and installer. Choose in setup and change it later in settings.
